How FC 27 Clubs divisions, skill rating and playoffs fit together.
The divisions
Clubs play league matches in six divisions: Division 5 at the bottom, then 4, 3, 2, 1 and Elite at the top.
Skill rating
Skill rating is EA's number for how strong a club is. It moves after every league match: wins push it up, losses push it down. Friendlies don't change it.
League, playoffs and friendlies
EA has three match types. League matches decide your division. Playoff matches come after the league part of the season. Friendlies count for nothing. On ClubsKeep, league and playoffs are kept apart with a switch on the Matches and Sessions pages, and every playoff run has its own page.
Why your division looks wrong in the playoffs
During the playoffs EA's division number stops meaning your league division, and when the playoffs reset, clubs start again lower down. ClubsKeep shows the division you finished the league in until your playoff run is over, so your club page doesn't suddenly drop.
Reading EA's raw numbers
If you read EA's data yourself: EA counts Elite as division 1, so its number is one more than the game shows. EA's "4" is Division 3 in the game.
