How ClubsKeep picks player of the session, player of the month and the Ballon d'Or.
Points for every appearance
Every time a player plays a match they get club awards points from 0 to 100:
- Match rating — 35%.
- Position impact — 45%: how their numbers compare with other appearances in the same position.
- Result — 20%.
- A red card takes off 10.
Judged by position
Forwards are judged mostly on goals, assists and shots; midfielders on creating and passing; defenders on tackles, interceptions and clean sheets; goalkeepers on saves and clean sheets. A defender with a clean sheet can beat a striker who scored once.
Session, month, season
The points decide player of the session (one match night), player of the month and the Ballon d'Or race for the whole season. Players need enough matches to count, so one great game doesn't win a month.
